We have long had a serious distaste for the look inside our home. Everything was painted bright white and it just looked awful. So we are in the process of starting to get it fixed up with some color and the way we like things. I hope you enjoy watching our progress. It's amazing what a $13 can of paint can do!
We started in the hall, getting the doors and base boards painted. We had started with a pastel green for the walls but think we have changed our minds. Just the doors and trim alone are making a huge difference.
Once we get all the painting done then it will be time to look into floor covering, that is a hard choice in itself. We live in the country so dirt can get tracked in very easy but at the same time we want the comfort of carpet....who knows what we will decide to do. It is difficult to take pictures in the hall. Maybe when I post the pictures from the living room and kitchen it will be easier to see how much better the brown on the doors and trim look. Really makes them look like real wood!
The Painting Continues
We continue to work away at getting the painting done. Right now our goal is to get all the doors, frame and trim done. Well, that was our plan until I so fell in love with how good that is making the doors look so I added that we needed to do the bathroom counters in both bathrooms. This meant we had to purchase another gallon of paint, I'm so glad we did. It is making an amazing difference. Just thought I should add that the picture showing the bathroom doors I'm working on will not stay that way, that is coat number 1 of 2 coats of paint it takes to cover them.
